VALUES

Squash Haven's Core Values

Our focus on core values is an integral part of our program. We believe these values are integral to youth development, and we strive to thoughtfully incorporate them into out program content and culture.
Character - Courage - Community

Character: Our mission is to support Squash Haven students to become engaged citizens. As a result, we encourage team members to approach their time as students and competitive athletes with kindness, honesty, optimism, and integrity.

Courage: Trying new things involves the risk of failure. All Squash Haven team members show courage when they join a new program and learn a new sport. Over time at Squash Haven, students are given opportunities to display and strengthen their courage to try, to fall short, and to try again, which they also see this modeled by their older teammates and peers.

Community: Squash Haven students learn and grow along side peers, staff and volunteers with whom they develop lasting connections. We value these close connections and the recognition that each individual plays a powerful role in the group experience. We also believe that the community we build extends well beyond Squash Haven into our schools, squash, and neighborhoods.
