enriching opportunities

As participants in Squash Haven our student-athletes are exposed to a range of new opportunities that help them gain confidence, broaden their horizons, and expand their range of athletic, academic, geographic, and social experiences.

Travel

Team members compete in squash events throughout the northeast. Typically team members participate in several overnight experiences each year, some of which include staying on college campuses. In addition, team members expand their horizons through college visits and other team trips. Past trips have included Canada, Ohio, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.

Summer

In addition to our five week summer program, we connect team members to scholarships for opportunities at outstanding summer academic, squash, and recreational camps. In a typical summer about ⅓ of our team members will have the opportunity to attend a summer program, and over half of those are residential. Recent summer partners include Choate, Exeter, Northwestern, Temple, and Washington University.

High School

Squash Haven team members are often exposed to independent day and boarding schools through their competitive experience. We support team members who are interested in exploring these high school options through SSAT preparation, interview readiness, application and financial aid support, and school visits.  22 team members have pursued independent school educations, including at Hopkins, Loomis Chaffee, and Taft.
