Squash Haven is an after-school enrichment program for New Haven youth. Our mission is to promote academic, athletic, and personal growth through a program of squash instruction, individual academic support/tutoring, health and fitness instruction, and community service.

Squash Haven was formed in the spring of 2006 by Board members from the Yale University squash and greater New Haven, New York, Fairfield, and Westchester County communities and has been operating since Julie Greenwood was hired as Executive Director in February 2007.

Our first school year program began in full in September 2007. Since then, twenty-nine fifth and sixth grade students have made noteworthy progress on the squash courts, in the classroom, in the community, and as a team. And we’re having a whole lot of fun in the process.
