BELONGING AND COMMUNITY

Statement Of Belonging and Community:

We at Squash Haven learn and grow from and with others, and our commitment to an active, dynamic, and ongoing process of building belonging and community flows from our core values: Optimism - Grit - Initiative - Curiosity - Self-Control - Gratitude - Integrity.

We commit to doing all that we can to provide individual opportunities to our students and to address inequality at Squash Haven and in the broader society in which we live. We also commit to creating a Squash Haven that celebrates the voices, experiences, and backgrounds of our students and their families. By doing so, we hope to make Squash Haven a place where students experience joy and freedom.

We are deeply committed to this ongoing work of centering belonging and community in our efforts, which means working with a coalition of various constituencies across our program: staff, board members, volunteers, and most importantly, our students and their families, whose voices should and will be at the forefront of these conversations. We are ready to listen, learn, and grow as we move forward together.
